Audi Cars

Audi is a car manufacturer based in Ingolstadt, Germany, and is part of the Volkswagen Group, since 1964. The tagline of the Audi cars is "Advancement through Technology". Audi was founded back in 1899, with their first car being produced in 1901.

The four overlapping rings that form the Audi logo represent the Auto Union and its four brands.

Audi A1 -  is an Audi car from the supermini class, which will be launched in 2010. Its main competitor will be the MINI, and it will be produced in Belgium, at the Volkswagen Brussels factory.

Audi A3 – this small family car is also considered part of the luxury class, as an entry model. This Audi car is being produced since 1996. The current generation is the second one, and was introduced in 2003. Both generations were based on a Volkswagen platform.

Audi A4 – produced since 1994, this model is a compact executive car, coming in a number of variants, saloon/sedan or estate/wagon. This Audi car is at its fourth generation, which was introduced in 2008.

Audi A5 – belongs to the luxury couple class, called a grand tourer by Audi and competes with the Mercedes Benz CLK and the BMW E92. The Audi A5 is the coupe version for the A4 model. Its engines vary between 168 and 349HP.

Audi A6 – the Audi A6 is an executive car and it comes in estate and saloon variants. The current version was introduced in 2005, and a facelift was received in 2008. It won the World Car of the Year award in 2005.

Audi A8 – this model is luxury executive car and is the flagship model of all the Audi cars. The original version was launched in 1994. Its main competitors are the luxury Mercedes Benz S Class and the BMW 7 Series.

Audi TT - the TT model is a sports car, that is available in two body versions, roadster with 2 seats and 2+2 coupe. Its production begun in 1998, and it’s being built in the Audi factory from Hungary. The current generation was introduced in 2007.

Audi Q5 - a compact crossover SUV, the Audi Q5 will be launched in 2009, on the same platform as the 2007 Audi A5 Coupe. It can be considered the compact version of the Q7 model, that was launched earlier.

Audi Q7 - this model belongs to the full-size luxury SUV class and it’s produced since 2006. It’s considered to be placed between the A6 and the A8 models. It’s considered to be better on-road, than off-road, despite the SUV designation.
