Cadillac Cars
Cadillac is another luxury car owned by the American car producer General Motors. This car is sold in more than 50 countries and other territories, but the primary market is still North America. It was created in 1902 and was first named the Cadillac Automobile Company.
In 1909 was bought by General Motors. In the next ten years, this brand has established itself as the main luxury car in America. The Cadillac has pioneered a lot of car accessories like full electrical systems, the steel roof or the clashless manual transmission. This brand also created three engines. One of them is the V8, which has set the standard in all the US automotive industry.
Cadillac BLS – This is a compact executive vehicle made mainly for the European when Cadillac was the brand of General Motors. This compact vehicle has GM’s Epsilon architecture and the same plant in Trollhättan, Sweden, built it. It is the same plant that did the Saab 9-5 and also the Saab 9-3.
Cadillac CTS – It is a mid size luxury vehicle created by GM under the Cadillac brand. It was designed to replace the old Cadillac Catera in the year of 2003. Wayne Cherry did its design and was the first Evoq concept car.
Cadillac DTS – This is a full size luxurious sedan also called Cadillac DTS (DeVille Touring Sedan). It is a car created under the luxury division of GM. This car is a replacement for the Cadillac DeVille and it is the largest car of this manufacturer made for MY 2006. It followed the styling directions that were earlier established by CTS and STS.
Cadillac Escalade – It is a luxurious full-size sport car, a SUV under the GM luxury brand. This car represented the division’s first step made in the valuable SUV market. This big car is constructed in the factory in Arlington, Texas.
Cadillac SRX – This crossover SUV of mid-size is made by Cadillac division since the year of 2004. The vehicle is based on the great GM Sigma platform. The car has five or six-speed automatic transmission. Other features available are: the rear-wheel drive plus the four-wheel drive.
Cadillac XLR – This retractable hardtop convertible care made by General Motors, in the factory in Bowling Green, Kentucky. It uses the Y-body platform along with Chevrolet Corvette.
Cadillac STS – The STS Sedan is mid-size. It is a luxury car sold by Cadillac as the successor of the old Cadillac Seville.
