Citroen Cars

Citroen is a car manufacturer based in France, which was created by Andre Citroen in 1919. It also was the first major company that made cars and wasn’t based in the United States. In 1976 Citroen joined the PSA Peugeot Citroen group.

There are currently 13,900 people employed by Citroen.

citroen-c1 Citroen C1 – introduced in 2005, the C1 model is built based on a common PSA and Toyota project called B-Zero. Peugeot built on the same platform the 107 and Toyota created the Aygo. The C1 has four seats and either 3 or 5 doors. The length of the car is 3.4 meters.

citroen-c2 Citroen C2 – the C2 model was launched in 2003. It’s a supermini model which has a design made by Donato Coco, created to target young buyers, with its two door design, even though the engine was somewhat underpowered. The weight of the Citroen C2 is 1,050kg and comes with a number of 1.4 and 1.6L engines.

citroen-c3 Citroen C3 – this model was launched by Citroen in 2002 and belongs to the supermini class. There are two body styles, 5 door hatchback and 2 door convertible. The C3 has 3.82 meters in length and 1,050 kg in weight. There is also an MPV version of the C3, which is called Picasso.

citroen-c4 Citroen C4 – created to replace the Citroen Xsara, the C4 was introduced in 2004 as a small family car. It comes in three variants: 4 door sedan, 5 door hatchback and 3 door coupe. Mechanics wise, the C4 is the same as the Peugeot 308.

citroen-c5 Citroen C5 – the C5 is the Citroen model that fits the large family car niche in their line-up. It was introduced in 2001, as a replacement for Citroen Xantia. You can choose for one of the seven engines of the C5, ranging from the 1.6L to the 3.0L. It comes in 4 and 5 door versions.

citroen-c6 Citroen C6 – launched in 2006, the C6 is an executive class car. It has a 6 speed transmission, in both manual and automatic variants. The C6 is based on the Lignage prototype, which was launched at the Geneva Auto Show in 1999. The C6 replaced the XM model.

citroen-c-crosser Citroen C-Crosser – is a crossover SUV, compact sized, which was launched in 2007. Initially, the name of this model was supposed to be C7, but was changed to C-Crosser, based on the concept car that was shown at the Frankfurt Auto Show in 2001.

citroen-c8 Citroen C8 – the C8 was launched by Citroen in 2002. It’s a minivan model that can take up to eight passengers inside. The C8 was launched to replace the Citroen Evasion. It’s very similar in design with Fiat Ulysse, Peugeot 807 and Lancia Phedra.

citroen-nemo Citroen Nemo – the Citroen Nemo is being produced since 2007 and it’s a van. The Nemo comes with two options when it comes to engines: a 1.4 petrol with 73HP and a 1.4 diesel with 68HP. The body style is panel van. The weight of the Nemo is 1,165kg and its length is 3.86m.

citroen-berlingo-2008 Citroen Berlingo – belongs to the leisure activity vehicle or panel van class and was launched in 1996. The latest version of this model was introduced in 2003. Because it has a low price and it’s practical, the Berlingo has good sales in many European countries.
