Dacia Cars

Dacia is a car manufacturer based in Romania, which was founded in 1966, during the communist regime. The first Dacia cars that were produced were made under Renault license, with their own models being produced in the 1990’s. In 1999, Dacia was purchased by Renault, which invested heavily in the company in the next few years. The low-cost Dacia Logan came as a result of Renault’s investment in the Romanian car manufacturer.

dacialogan Dacia Logan – was launched in Aug. 2004 and it’s the biggest success Dacia ever had in the export markets. It was the first truly quality model to come from Dacia and that was the result of the cooperation with Renault. The diesel option was launched in 2005.

dacia-logan-mcv Dacia Logan MCV – introduced at Paris, in 2006, the MCV version of the Logan is a station wagon, with 5-7 seats and up to 2350 litres in luggage space with all the seats folded. The engines are the same with those from the Dacia Logan sedan. The facelift was done in the last part of 2008.

dacia-logan-van Dacia Logan Van – designed to be used mostly by businesses, the Dacia Logan Van was introduced in 2007. The maximum payload is 800kg in a loading space of 2500 litres. You could say it’s about the same with a Logan MCV, except it lacks the rear side windows. The engines and safety features are the same with the other models.

dacia-sandero Dacia Sandero – the Sandero is the second model to be launched by Dacia and it’s a hatchback with 5 doors. It was released in 2007 and it has a smaller wheelbase than the Dacia Logan. Initially, it was made in Brazil, under the Renault name, but in 2008 production was started at Dacia as well.
