Fiat Cars

Fiat S.p.A. is a well known Italian car manufacturer. It is also an engine manufacturer, a financial and industrial group. The main factory is in Turin, Italy, in the Piedmont region.

This manufacturer has been founded in 1899 by some investors that included the well known Giovanni Agnelli. You should also know that Fiat is also creating tanks and aircraft. In the year of 2009, Fiat succeeded to be the world’s 6th largest car producer and of course, the biggest one in all of Italy.

The Fiat cars are being constructed around the world, but the largest number of cars is made in the factory in Brazil. There are some big factories in Argentina and also in Poland. This car manufacturer is known for licensing its own products to some other countries in disregard to the political or cultural differences. They joined venture operations in France, Turkey, India, and even Serbia and Russia.

Fresh_Blue_Uno Fiat Uno – This super mini car is fabulous looking. It was made by fiat in 1983. It was a big success and many people use it today. It was constructed in Italy since 1995, but now the production takes place elsewhere, in foreign countries. Fiat Uno prepares a comeback in the following years and wants to set a segment between the 500 and the new Punto. If they go along with the plans, it could be built on a shorter Punto platform and it will be lighter than the Punto.

fiat-grande-punto Fiat Grande Punto – This one is the third Fiat car that has the name of Punto. The project had a codenamed: Project 199 but on the market it was known as the Grande Punto. It was first shown in 2005 during the Frankfurt Motor Show. A year later, it was already on sale. This great looking car was designed and styled by Giugiaro, and uses the Fiat/GM SCCS platform.

Fiat_Panda_14 Fiat Panda - This city car is constructed by Fiat and was manufactured, with little changes, from 1980 till 2003.Some people today refer to it as the "old Panda". In 2003, a new model, called the "new Panda" or "Nuova Panda" was released and in 2004 was named the European Car of the Year.
