Hummer Cars

Hummer is a very popular and well respected brand that makes off-road vehicles. It is manufactured by General Motors (GM).

The first Hummer car was called Hummer H1 and was inspired by the military High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV, also called Humvee). Next, the Hummer H2 and also the Hummer H3 were inspired by other smaller civilian vehicles.

At first, the Hummers were constructed by the AM General Corporation, the former AMC Jeep’s General Products division, which has a factory in Mishawaka, Indiana. The first cars were made under a big contract with the United States army. The first version, the Hum-Vee, had a wide gamma of military-based equipment and models. But after that, the AM General made some plans to sell it in a civilian.

The car gained some public interest in the mid 1980s.
