Jaguar Cars
Jaguar Cars Ltd. is an Indian car manufacturer originally from England, This brand does luxurious cars and executive motor cars. For a long time it has been a subsidiary of Tata Motors Ltd. This was since March 2008. Then Tata took a half of the Jaguar Land Rover and the sibling, Land Rover.
Jaguar cars are created in Coventry, England at an engineering center. The three English Jaguar factories are: Castle Bromwich in Birmingham, Halewood close to Liverpool and Gaydon (Oxfordshire).
Jaguar X-Type – This luxury compact car has been released in 2001 so that they could compete with the Jaguar’s German rivals like the Audi A4, the BMW 3 Series, and also the Mercedes-Benz C-Class. The car shares the platform wit the 2000 Ford Mondeo. Still, the X-Type is the first generation and a successor wasn’t planned yet. They expect the current version to last till 2010 model on the remaining markets.
Jaguar XF – This is a mid-size car created in 2008 so that it could replace the S-Type in the company’s portfolio. This car received in January 2008, the great and valuable prize ‘Car of the Year’ award. They also took a prize in the executive cars category. In 2008, the XF also got the Car of the Year prize from Diesel magazine.
Jaguar XJ – This one is a full-size luxury car and it is considered the flagship model. This car is being produced since 1968 and was also the last Jaguar car that got the creative touch of the company’s founder, named Sir William Lyons. In 2003, arrived the great third generation of XJ and even of the interior and the exterior of the car remained quite traditional in its appearance, this car was totally and fully re-engineered.
Jaguar XK – This car, a luxury grand tourer, was first presented in 1996 during the Geneva Motor Show. It replaced the Jaguar XJS.
